AI and NLP – AI has been an integral part of healthcare for nearly a decade now. Although the use of AI was more on the side of delicate research and things of such kind.

However, things have changed a lot since the arrival of COVID-19. The usage of AI in healthcare has shifted from data scientists and technical personnel to clinicians and patients.

The survey by John Snow Labs has assessed a large number of Healthcare organizations using AI at various fronts for a number of years.

When asked about intended users for AI tools and technologies, over half of the respondents said clinicians were among their target users, indicating that AI is being used increasingly by people delivering healthcare services. 

The examination, which investigates the advancements, instruments, and models for AI selection and practices among medical care and life sciences experts, was directed by Gradient Flow, a free information science examination and experiences supplier. 

The research has been conducted by Gradient Flow, an independent data science analysis and insights provider organization. This research takes into account various parameters like technologies, tools, and criteria for AI adoption and practices among healthcare and life sciences practitioners

When the organizations providing AI solutions for healthcare were asked about their primary target users, more than half said Clinicians were their target users. This shows the shift of the use of AI onto the delivering side of healthcare services.

The next discovery which surprised them was that more than half of the respondents (59%) from such organizations said that patients are also users of their AI technologies.

Moreover, Natural Language Processing (NLP), is turning into a key fundamental AI innovation, alongside data incorporation and business insight (BI).

A big part of pioneers said they are utilizing data integration, NLP, business insight, and information warehousing. 

The most mainstream types of software being utilized to fabricate AI-based health solutions are open-source (53%) and public cloud providers (42%). 

Organizations that have the insight and experience of deploying AI models said they depend on their own information and monitoring devices as opposed to outside arrangements, while organizations still in the beginning phases of investigating AI, are more open to assessment measurements given by other vendors.
